I'm experiencing some noises from my terrain or duet brake

Our terrain and duet brakes are designed to provide you with maximum control for peace of mind while out and about.

They have many moving parts, which over time may need some small adjustments to maintain their peak performance...just like a bicycle would.

If you find the rear brakes to be a little noisier than expected, follow the below steps

  1. Have you installed the wheels correctly? When installing your rear wheels you do not need to depress the grey release button. Simply insert the axle until you hear the click, and you're all set
  2. Check if the end of the brake cable is touching the brake drum or brake cog and move it out of the way, view the video to help

Brake pads are prone to making noise especially when they are brand new and in some circumstances like when wet, muddy or under heavy braking. These are normal experiences.

Over time the brake pads will wear slightly as they 'bed in' and the noise will lessen over time. They're also less likely to make noise if they are clean, which you can do with a quick wipe.
